SEMASHUR Activity

The birthday celebration for students born in April, May and June was held successfully on 8 July 2026. This lively event was organised to appreciate and celebrate the students marking their birthdays.

Beyond celebrating their special day, the programme also aimed to strengthen the bonds among the school community and to nurture the values of affection and togetherness among the students.

A variety of engaging activities were carried out throughout the programme, including a birthday song singalong, cake-cutting, a lucky draw and the giving of cupcakes to everyone being celebrated. The cheerful mood was clear on the students' faces.

A full day of learning how to save lives — that was the mission for four SEMASHUR Red Crescent members on 27 June 2026.

The District-level Malaysian Red Crescent Basic First Aid Course 2026 ran at SMK Kalumpang from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. SEMASHUR was represented by Mohamad A'sif Syahkirin bin Ariffin (4 Amal), Nur Humaira Husna binti Mohamad Azli (4 Amal), Nur Fatini Haifa binti Nor Fadli (3 Ehsan) and Shahrin Dzulfiqar bin Shahrul Fadley (3 Bakti).

Throughout the session, participants were trained in the fundamental first aid techniques that form the backbone of Red Crescent service — whether inside school or out in the wider community.

When three schools pool their strengths for one subject, the outcome goes beyond an ordinary sharing session. 🤝

On 16 June 2026, from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., Moral Education teachers and upper secondary students from SM Sains Hulu Selangor, SM Sains Kuala Selangor and SM Sains Banting convened at Grana Pustaka, SM Sains Kuala Selangor for the Collaborative Knowledge Synergy Programme.

Throughout the day, teachers exchanged classroom approaches and sharpened SPM answering techniques together. Students, in turn, worked side by side to swap ideas and refine the way they structure responses to match the marking scheme.

Teachers upskilling too! On Monday, 15 June 2026, ten lower-secondary teachers gathered at the SEMASHUR Meeting Room from 2:30 to 4:30 pm for the Workshop on Building an AI-Powered Item Analysis Platform.

The session opened with the fundamentals — reading student score trends through pivot tables in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Participants then moved on to crafting precise prompts for Root Cause Analysis using the Fishbone Diagram, sharpening their ability to pinpoint what really lies behind weak assessment items. 📚

The core segment brought everyone straight into Claude AI. By feeding in sample item analysis templates and assessment papers, each teacher walked away with a complete, subject-specific item analysis platform tailored to their own classroom needs.

Santapan Beradat, Budi Disemai di Aidilfitri — that was the theme Al-Biruni carried into the SEMASHUR Hari Raya Etiquette Dining Ceremony on 15 April 2026. 🕌

The programme paired the joyful spirit of Aidilfitri with a refined practice of table manners and dining etiquette, letting students and staff experience formal dining protocol up close.

The aim was clear: cultivate mutual respect, courteous conduct, and stronger bonds within the school community during the festive season. Every moment at the table became a gentle lesson in adab.

On 14 April 2026, SEMASHUR's nasyid team, Saff One, stepped up at the 2026 Inter-School Nasyid Festival (FNSS) for the Hulu Selangor District. The district-level competition was hosted at SMK Bukit Sentosa 2 and gathered nasyid teams from schools across the district.

Through a heartfelt performance, Saff One secured Fourth Place. 🕌 The result reflects the training, discipline and teamwork the boys carried into every rehearsal leading up to the FNSS stage.

Congratulations to our SEMASHUR fire cadets! 🎉 From 7 to 9 April 2026, six school representatives took part in the Hulu Selangor District Fire and Rescue Cadet Promotion Course and Camp.

The three-day programme was held at the Kuala Kubu Bharu Fire and Rescue Station. Alhamdulillah, all six SEMASHUR cadets passed their promotion tests — five earned the rank of Lance Corporal and one was promoted to Sergeant.

The cadets who flew the school flag: Arif Fahmi Bin Fairul Rizal (4B), Haziq Izz Naqeeb Bin Harzilnadara (4I), Muhammad Adam Rayyan Bin Adi Shahidan (4I), Danish Shazwi Bin Abu Bakar (3A), Sarah Rifqah Binti Mohd Lutfi (3E) and Qisya Nia Binti Mohd Rahmat (3I).

For three days and two nights, five SEMASHUR Company Management Members (APS) settled in at Hotel De Palma, Shah Alam for the Company Management and Reporting Course under the Tunas Niaga Programme (PROTUNe) 2026.

Organised by Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) from 7 to 9 April 2026, the annual programme formally prepares selected schools to run their entrepreneurship kiosks throughout the year.

Our company lineup is led by Raisha Raihana binti Mohd Rashidi (4J) as Company CEO, supported by Nur Addina Arissa binti Muhamad Radzif (4J) as Administration Manager, Nik Raniatul Hasanah binti Nik Ahmad Razim (4A) as Finance Manager, Nur Aleeya Maisara binti Mohd Hisham (4E) as Marketing and Sales Manager, and Nur Adriana Syakirah binti Mohd Yusof (3B) as Operations Manager.

Alhamdulillah — SEMASHUR voices and Khat artistry echoed at the district level. 🌟

On 8 April 2026, SMK Serendah hosted the Hulu Selangor District Al-Quran and Khat Mahrajan 2026, gathering schools across the district for Tilawah, Hafazan and Khat competitions.

SEMASHUR fielded three students, and each returned with a top placing. Muhammad Iman Zaidaan bin Mohd Zawawi (4 Jujur) was named runner-up in Tilawah, while Ahmad Faid Iskandar bin Muhammad Fikrie Chin (5 Iman) took fourth place in Hafazan.

The Syawal spirit is still very much alive in Hulu Selangor! On 7 April 2026, PPPIM Hulu Selangor District hosted its Jalinan Mahabbah Aidilfitri Programme at SMK Bukit Sentosa 2, gathering Puteri members from schools across the district in a warm, communal setting.

Three events lined the secondary school category: Alunan Aidilfitri, the Aidilfitri Canva Poster contest, and the Aidilfitri Syair and Costume showcase. SEMASHUR fielded participants in all three.

Alhamdulillah, our delegation walked away with Second Place in the Aidilfitri Canva Poster contest 🥈 and Fourth Place in Alunan Aidilfitri — two solid results that lifted the school's name at district level.

Student leaders aren't just badge-wearers — they're change agents. That's the spirit behind the Fully Residential School Student Leader Empowerment Programme, held at SEMASHUR on 11, 12 and 13 March 2026, with a closing session on 6 April 2026.

The programme answered a call from the Fully Residential School Management Division urging every SBP to run this school based, clarifying the scope and capacity of student leaders in tackling bullying. On 11 March, an online briefing and address from the Division's Director reached the entire SEMASHUR community, followed by a briefing on bullying misconduct by the Senior Assistant of Student Affairs, Ustaz Mohd Fauzi bin Abdul Mutalib.

That afternoon, 40 student leaders and aspiring leaders joined a workshop titled 'Madani Values-Based Student Leadership', unpacking the role of student leaders and the three pupil attributes in the Malaysian Education Plan. The following day, all Form 1 to Form 5 students completed the BUDI survey on bullying misconduct at Dewan Madani, coordinated by Encik Ahmad Farizan.

Raya feels sweeter when it is shared. On 17 March 2026, Dewan Titiwangsa SEMASHUR played host to the Raya Clothing and Monetary Aid Ceremony for students in need.

The event ran from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon. A total of 80 students — orphans, special project students, and Selangor Zakat Board recipients — were taken to Jakel Mall to pick out their own Raya outfits.

The contributions came from parents through the PIBG and from the SEMASHUR Alumni Association (ASHURA). A heartfelt thank you to every hand that gave without hesitation.
