Fully Residential School Student Leader Empowerment Programme 2026

Student leaders aren't just badge-wearers — they're change agents. That's the spirit behind the Fully Residential School Student Leader Empowerment Programme, held at SEMASHUR on 11, 12 and 13 March 2026, with a closing session on 6 April 2026.

The programme answered a call from the Fully Residential School Management Division urging every SBP to run this school based, clarifying the scope and capacity of student leaders in tackling bullying. On 11 March, an online briefing and address from the Division's Director reached the entire SEMASHUR community, followed by a briefing on bullying misconduct by the Senior Assistant of Student Affairs, Ustaz Mohd Fauzi bin Abdul Mutalib.

That afternoon, 40 student leaders and aspiring leaders joined a workshop titled 'Madani Values-Based Student Leadership', unpacking the role of student leaders and the three pupil attributes in the Malaysian Education Plan. The following day, all Form 1 to Form 5 students completed the BUDI survey on bullying misconduct at Dewan Madani, coordinated by Encik Ahmad Farizan.

On 13 March, group presentations on discipline issues in the school and hostel were delivered before the Student Leadership Body advisors, Discipline Teachers, and the Head and Assistant House Teachers — surfacing tough questions and thoughtful discussion from these young leaders.

For the closing on 6 April, each group's representative shared their findings with all students and teachers during the Mentor Mentee Assembly, with mentors standing alongside their mentees.
