SEMASHUR Bags Special Award and Six Golds at ITEX 2026
Ten student projects, one Special Award, six golds and four silvers — SEMASHUR's innovation contingent came home from ITEX 2026 with hands full of trophies.

An international stage, ten student projects, one mission — and SEMASHUR's contingent came home with a story worth telling. 🏆
From 18 to 20 May 2026, our students competed at the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2026) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The annual showcase brings together student inventors, researchers and technology companies from around the world.
The high point came when HUSKBURNER was named recipient of the Best Invention Award, a special honour reserved for the most impactful ideas in its category. The same project also secured a gold medal, cementing HUSKBURNER as this year's standout. ✨
Five other projects claimed gold: FIBROPAVER, AQUABLOOM, BIOGUARD, CHOCNALIOUS and CRUMBSPARKS. Four more rounded out the medal haul with silver — INCLU-ID, CORENJITICIDE, CARABI-NEAR and BRAMBOO. 🥇🥈
